Dunelm SS18 x Lust Living

Well before I even start this blog post, some of you may recognise this dining table set up from my Instagram stories a few weeks ago… along with the downpour from my ceiling. That was not a good day. About half an hour after I shot these photos, a pipe burst upstairs and it was raining in my house for about an hour… not ideal for a Sunday afternoon but the good news is that we managed to find the leak (after ripping all the bathroom tiles up upstairs only to discover it was under the carpet and floorboards in the hall) and nothing major was damaged (including the lovely Dunelm bits featured). Phew.

Anyway. Without further ado… this is Part II of my Dunelm SS18 Collection styling, and if you missed Part I (6 Living Room Additions for Spring Summer 2018) then you can catch up HERE. But today’s feature is all about dining styling (anyone else get really excited when they rhyme by accident?) for SS18, oh and a small bedroom feature because I just couldn’t resist showing off their new art-deco style table lamps!

Naturally there’s a pearlescent-esque blush vase taking centre stage in the middle of the table and that’s probably my favourite piece, and honestly, I think it looks a lot more expensive than £20! The glassware you can see I’ve actually had since around October time last year (but it’s from Dunelm too) – it’s still being used daily and we still love it. The downside of the gold rim on the glassware of course is that you have to hand-wash them – but I think you will struggle to find anything gold rimmed that you can stick in the dishwasher. I have so many gold dining items that it doesn’t even bother me now, it’s worth the sacrifice to have gold anything! Including my new favourite blush pink and gold 12 piece dinner set – which by the way is just £42… if that’s not value for money then I don’t know what is? Add the gold rim charger plate and you have got one seriously dreamy place setting. Oh and speaking of charger plates, since I’ve been engaged I’ve constantly got wedding decor on the brain – this charger plate would finish off a place setting at a wedding perfectly wouldn’t it? Yes there will definitely be gold at my wedding, but that’s all I’ll say for now. What else? Oh! I couldn’t not pick up these marble gold edge placemats and coasters could I? Right up my street! Admittedly, I’ve got gold cutlery coming out of my ears but this cutlery set has a different touch to them with the black matte handles, the make the whole table setting a bit more interesting. So what do you think?! Perfect for hosting for your guests this Spring Summer right? Let’s be honest this would make the perfect brunch set up!

Oh and I can’t go without raving about the very art-deco style table lamps Dunelm have launched within their 5A Fifth Avenue Collection. My plan is for these to go either side of our fireplace in the living room once we have cabinets built in the alcoves – but until that’s done (job number 253,871 on the list), I thought I’d show you what stunning statement bedside lamps they make! The 5A Fifth Avenue Collection is just gorgeous, I love everything and I’m excited to see what they will launch for AW18!
