Tesco Fox & Ivy Collection

A few weeks ago my sister, Lauren (who lives in Singapore) flew home for a week and whilst she was home, she announced that she was whisking me, my Mum and Dad off to Disneyland Paris for the weekend for our Christmas present. I KNOW. Ridiculously lucky.

With my sister living in Singapore and me, my Mum and Dad working for our family business, it’s rare that we all get together, and even rarer that we are able to go on holiday together, in fact we couldn’t even remember the last time we went on abroad together just the four of us – so a trip together was definitely overdue, it was a really special weekend spending quality time with each other.

Now whilst I won’t be able to return the gesture any time soon, maybe not ever (hopefully I’ll win the lottery though) it reminded me how important it is to show people how much you appreciate them. I’m not one for going out too much, I’ve spent a lot of time working on and investing in my home so naturally I find myself wanting to spend quality time at home rather than out and the same applies to meeting up with loved ones. I love having guest over for dinner and drinks or even just for a cup of tea, but when you’ve got guests over it’s nice to have some ‘posh’ glasses, or crockery isn’t it (you know like when you were little and your mum always used to get the posh cutlery or crockery out when you had guest over)? Which is why I decided to treat myself to some bits from Tesco’s new Fox & Ivy range, for use especially on those special occasions. The brand is fabulously on trend, beautifully designed (yes, you guessed it, gold gold and more gold so naturally I’m sold) but you won’t need to break the bank to indulge in Fox & Ivy!

Since my kitchen and dining area is gold themed… okay who am I kidding, my entire house is gold themed, I wanted to invest in a few gold bar type items to bring out when I have special people over for drinks. Well low and behold, I’m 27 and feeling seriously adulty now that I have my very own set of ‘posh’ Gold Champagne Glasse. Despite treating myself to these for use on special occasions (because they are so gorgeous I want to keep them in pristine condition), and despite looking as luxurious as they do – they are actually totally affordable at only £20 for a set of 4. Naturally I had to get the gold Wine Cooler to go with – be it for a bottle of wine or a bottle of Moet, it can also come in very handy as a stylish utensil holder too, and I’m all for multi-use products!

Winter is well and truly looming over us now isn’t it? This morning when I got in my car it was 0 degrees, yikes. BUT, my favourite thing about this time of year is that in our house it becomes a daily ritual to light candles pretty much every evening, they truly do add a little hygge to the home. But like glassware, some candles are just too good to be lit on the regular. Like the expensive ones you might get treated to at Christmas or Birthdays, you don’t just want to waste them and burn them all in one go, this Black Vanilla Luxury Scented Filled Bell Jar Candle is definitely for special occasions – the bell jar gives it a really luxurious feel, it reminds me of going into high end candle stores which have bell jars over each candle to hold the scent. I love to have a luxurious candle just for special occasions and this one is exactly that, and it smells absolutely divine.

Lastly, and by no means least. There is no memory quite like one that is worth framing, and whilst I’m not a huge fan of having family photos dotted all around the house, if it’s a good frame, I love a classy black and white shot. I’m totally obsessed with Gatsby-esque inspired pieces so this Art Deco Black Enamel Photo Frame was the perfect piece to hold a photo of our magical family trip. It’s such a gorgeous design and the black design ties in perfectly alongside my black feature wall behind the dining table.

Fox & Ivy have not disappointed –gorgeous high quality bespoke design pieces. The dining range – gold rimmed crockery is stunning, it’s probably my favourite part of the whole range, I might need to replace my entire crockery cupboard – just don’t tell my other half . With gold touches everywhere, it’s no wonder the Fox & Ivy Collection is right up my street is it? The Soho range is my personal favourite, bold blues, smoky greys and gold accents – all of my favourite things! The best part? It’s not often you get such great on trend design focus, high quality and great value for your money!

There’s always someone that we could show a little more appreciation to, and it doesn’t have to be because of a trip to Disneyland – but in this case, I got very lucky, so thank you Lozzy! Now that I’ve showed you how I’m making an ordinary moment at home extra special, how would you and who are you going to treat this Winter?
