The Perfect Scandinavian Occasional Chair Revealed

Harveys Lemora Chair

If you saw my previous post you will have read about my journey finding the perfect occasional chair for the bedroom and how I came to choose the Lemora Chair from Harveys. Well here she is in situ, and isn’t she a beauty? See what I meant about the perfect shade of grey now?! I’m so glad that I was able to browse through different fabrics before making my final choice because this is the exact fabric I wanted.

I had no idea how comfy the chair was going to be (even though since it’s home is in the bedroom it’s most likely going to spend majority of the time draped in clothes) but turns out that that extra thick seat cushion is super squishy and will make for the perfect spot to sit and read for hours without getting a numb bum!! I love the shape of it, it’s modern without being too out there and the wooden feet give it the exact Scandinavian feel that I was hoping for.

So how did it arrive? After being handmade in Britain (I just love that fact), the chair arrived in perfect condition all wrapped up and protected with the legs dismantled, which is actually very sensible when you think about it, it saved them getting knocked and damaged in transit and it made it much easier to navigate it through door frames and up the stairs. The legs were really easy to assemble onto the chair, no fiddling about for hours! Win win!

So what do you think? Teamed with my pink Farrow & Ball Calamine wall and gold accents here and there I think it was the perfect neutral choice for my Scandinavian inspired bedroom. I think I might have to get a gold wall lamp to sit over the top of the chair to complete my new favourite reading corner.

What do you think of the Lemora chair? Would it be your choice? It’s the perfect example of the Sofas By You range given that this really is the chair for me. It’s perfect and exactly what I was looking for.

P.S. Please don’t judge me for the lack of curtain pole and curtains… I’m still mid bathroom renovations and with the curtains being white they are currently down to save them getting filthy!! It’s not all perfect you see 😉
