Everdine

Like most people, I absolutely love my food, which is why I’m slowly starting to add more food related topics to the lifestyle section of my blog. Today I am sharing my thoughts on Everdine’s subscription meal service – clean eating made simple. I tried one meal each evening for 8 days and thought I’d share my experience with you foodies!

So what did I think?

Tasty food tastes even better when you know it’s good for you (well maybe that’s not entirely true, Big Macs taste delicious to me even though I know they definitely are not good for me) but at least you don’t feel guilty after you have eaten a good wholesome meal. How yummy are the Everdine meals you ask? They’re not your average microwave meals, let’s put it that way. There’s so many different meal choices it’s like choosing off a menu at a fancy restaurant, and now I realise why – Everdine’s chefs are Michelin-star trained so they know what they are doing when it comes do a decent dish. FYI – The Black Bean Chilli Burrito was my absolute favourite (even though I slightly overcooked it, my bad) – in my next life I’m coming back and living in Mexico so I can eat Burrito 365 days a year.

What else is good about Everdine? The meals arrive frozen, so you can make the decision when they arrive which you want to keep out in the fridge and which you want to put in your freezer, that way nothing is going to go off and you’re not going to waste any food (or your money). I was also really impressed by the packaging that your Everdine order comes in – every last bit is recyclable, these days this is so so important as we know so I love it when companies encourage this. All the meat and fish is sourced sustainably, they don’t add any artificial preservatives. Oh and because time is so precious in our busy lives, most of the meals are ready to eat in around 10 minutes.

So would I recommend Everdine? Absolutely. Especially if you’re wanting to give clean eating a proper go (and by proper I mean still eat home cooked natural food) but you just don’t have the ingredients to hand, or the time, or the ideas, maybe you just lack the skills – Everdine is a great way of trying it. Even the meals don’t look too big, I was surprisingly full after every one, probably because I was eating a good balance meal each time.
