Walls and Floors are generously giving away £1,750 in vouchers to UK Bloggers, to help transform a bathroom, kitchen, living area or garden! So let’s hope they like the sound of my dream bathroom renovation!

My next big home project is to have the bathroom of my dreams. Picture this. A mix of black and white marble tiles, a freestanding bath, a huge round brass mirror and brass accessories dotted about. If you follow me on Instagram you will already know that I am (slightly) marble obsessed. And metallic obsessed. But they go so well together don’t they? Plus marble and brass are still massively on trend this year so I feel like I’m constantly being reminded of how beautiful they are on a daily basis. I’ve created the above moodboard to show my dream bathroom look and linked everything shown below.

P.S. If you’re looking for UK based metallic sinks and taps, Olif is the place! In my bathroom preparation I requested the below swatches from Olif and they are so dreamy! This photo doesn’t even do the swatches justice… But seriously. If Carlsberg did sinks…

At the moment I have one small bathroom upstairs with a bath, toilet and sink and one very small toilet downstairs. Once I eventually have an ensuite attached to the master bedroom, my next project will be to convert the smaller bathroom into a wetroom (with toilet and sink) – remove the bath, it’s too cramped at the moment and would be much better for being a more spacious shower room.

You can see that the way the house is laid out at the moment is that the master bedroom (which has fitted wardrobes) is actually smaller than the spare bedroom. The spare bedroom is a lovely large room, but I find it a very awkward size and shape. My plan is to split the spare bedroom off and put an ensuite in for the master bedroom.

This will be a big job, it will mean that the master bedroom wall will need knocking through to put a door in, a stud wall will need to be put up in the spare bedroom to create the other bathroom wall and then there’s all the complicated stuff of sorting out where the waste etc will go. But it is my next dream project in the house, and ultimately in the long run it will add value to the house.

I’d love to start knocking through right now since I’ve planned every detail already… but it’ nearly October which means I should be starting my Christmas shopping soon not a bathroom renovation!

I’d love to see if you’ve had a bathroom renovation recently – comment below and tell me how you styled yours.

Wish me luck!
