Jot it Down

This is such an exciting collaboration that I’ve been so excited to share on my blog – ever since Jot It Down launched last year I have been obsessing over their ‘stylised but practical stationery’ (as they so perfectly put it).

If you follow me on Instagram you will already know that I seem to have developed a (slightly unhealthy) obsession with Australian design, not just in interiors and architecture but stationery too. Melbourne based, Jot It Down have got stationery design down to an art but with a thoughtful touch:

“In a world full of technology, it’s nice to return to an old-world style of writing things down with traditional pen and paper. Our items allow you to do this using luxury pieces to make the experience extra special.”

I couldn’t agree more with that, whenever I write notes I write them in a notebook, never on the notes app on my iPhone or laptop, and the same goes for my yearly diary. It has to be a physical diary, not the iPhone calendar. I would be lost without being able to write it down physically. I think it’s good in this day and age to try not to rely on technology for absolutely everything (she says typing on her laptop).

“Inspired by the love of writing, our team at Jot it Down are committed to bringing a uniquely sophisticated, luxurious and above all, stylish aesthetic to your every day workspace essentials.” Again, so true, I find that if you are in a workspace that doesn’t have a stylish, clean aesthetic then it just doesn’t allow me to concentrate, and stylish stationery accessories go hand in hand with a decent workspace. Their stationery looks great – you can’t deny it. It may have something to do with the fact that their products are all designs using my favourite colours, black, white and gold. The perfect colour palette (for me). But also, the packaging is to die for, and I’m always a sucker for good packaging, especially when the detailing is of a gold foil effect. (love heart eyes). As you would expect, they are all exceptionally well made items, none of that flimsy thin paper and none of those thin nibbed scratchy pens!

Oh and if you want all your friends to envy you next year when you have the most beautiful diary ever then you better head over to Jot It Down and pre-order your copy HERE now! THEY ARE STUNNING. Available in black and ivory – obviously, because you know, monochrome.
