I took my time this year, but I’m finally in the Christmas spirit! We’ve been so busy over the past few months (see our very exciting announcement here) so it seems like everything has taken a back seat… but with my sister back home from Singapore with my two nieces and our news finally out in the open, I can finally put my festive hat on. Which means… we finally got around to putting our tree up this weekend!
Long gone are the days of real Christmas trees in our household, that fresh smell is hard to beat I’ll admit, but where’s the need to chop down trees when the artificial ones can look this good? This is Balsam Hill’s European Fir Pre-lit Artificial Christmas Tree, we went for the 7.5″, when it comes to Christmas trees, go big or go home if you ask me. I like a tree to look like it has been plucked from the swiss mountainside and plonked in my living room and this is that tree ticking those boxes for me! I don’t like it to be too perfect, it needs to look natural, obviously, and I think you can see just how realistic it looks from the close up shots below! And wow, I sure have been missing a trick all these years manually adding Christmas lights – pre-lit trees are without a doubt the way forward. Long gone are my days of spending an hour untangling the lights from the previous Christmas, which is half the stress of putting the tree up in the first place let’s be honest! Putting the tree up is supposed to be a happy occasion, don’t let lights ruin your fun! If you’re looking for even more ease, you need to check out Balsam Hill’s flip-it range. One word. Wow. Imagine it being that easy?!
What’s your ideal Christmas tree? Are you a real fan or faker like me?
