Denby Studio Blue

Despite this mini heat wave that seemed to come out of nowhere this past weekend, it feels like Summer is finally coming to a close, so we are making an effort to eat alfresco every evening that we can in our new garden so I thought would be the perfect opportunity to show off our new Denby crockery that we’ve been trying out for the last few weeks.

Denby are actually based in Derbyshire, not that far from me at all which is a lovely touch to be able to add a local, hand crafted collection to our home. I also remember the crockery we had in our childhood home growing up which was a blue Denby range, so it’s a brand that will always remind me of home. I went for one of their newest ranges – Studio Blue Stoneware which is available in four different tonal shades designed to compliment each other and inspired by the colours and textures found in stone and minerals. Having previously had a green crockery set made up of different shades of green, this time I wanted something more neutral, something that would stay classic and last for a long time – which is why as much as I love the look of mix and matching the different tones of the Studio Blue range, we decided to just go for the Blue Chalk items – which is a gorgeous natural off white stoneware with a blue speckled effect. The Studio Blue range is hand crafted which makes every piece unique whilst being perfect for every day use at the same time – oven, microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe. It’s got an extensive range, not just your standard, bowl, side plate and dinner plate but the Studio Blue range is available in pasta bowls, ramekins, rice bowls, noodle bowls, trays, mugs, oil bottles (think I may have to get an oil bottle – not sure how I missed them!), jugs and more! It’s minimalistic, it’s a little bit Scandi, it’s perfect.

Another thing I love about buying from Denby is their 10 Year Guarantee (on Made in England Denby stoneware ranges) which basically means that defective products will be replaced free of charge and if you register your guarantee with Denby online and tell them which range you’re collecting, they also commit to giving you 12 month’s notice if production of that range is likely to stop – because let’s face it there’s nothing worse than being short of a set that has been discontinued!

What do you think of the Studio Blue range? Are you a Denby fan?
