My Dream Sofa Arrived!

DFS LULL SOFA

Last week my dream sofa arrived from DFS, and a week later, I’m still staring at it, I still can’t quite believe I have my very own Scandi grey fabric sofa, I’ve only wanted one for the last three years…

So here she (yes the sofa is most definitely female) is! My very own Lull Sofa (from the DFS Capsule Collection) in the light grey weave fabric and washed oak feet! What do you think? I’m head over heels!

I couldn’t fault the delivery process, it was booked in with me over the phone about a week beforehand and then the day before, I got a three hour slot of when the sofa would be delivered, which was great because it meant I didn’t need to wait in all day, and even better, on the day of delivery, the drivers ring about an hour before to let you know they are near – so in fact you don’t even need to wait in for the whole 3 hour slot! DFS arrived, they were super friendly and helpful, they assembled the sofa (attached the feet on securely) quickly and even took the packaging away – win win! DFS even offer to collect your old sofa if you want them too!

Luckily for me there was no gamble at this point as to wether it was comfy as I had briefly tested them all out when I went to the capsule collection launch a few months ago… but a week later I can confirm whole-heartedly that it is a very comfortable sofa… in fact as I type this, I’m sat on it! Style and comfort, what more could I ask for really?!

I also got the Play Hexagonal Footstool in the same fabric as the sofa and with the same feet to match, and to my surprise, I might even love the footstool more than the sofa (and that’s a lot). The shape is so different to any footstool I’ve seen before, but the best part about it for me is that it’s a really solid footstool, it’s not really squishy (but squishy enough to be a comfy foot rest) like some, which means it can double as a coffee table too! Perfect for me since I’m still on the hunt for the perfect coffee table!

I finally got to put my cushion that I designed during a masterclass with the DFS textile team (the Dalmatian print style cushion) on my new sofa and they compliment each other perfectly. It’s ridiculously cool to have a cushion I designed myself on my own sofa, so thanks for making my cushion design come to life DFS!

All round… DFS ticked every box! THANK YOU DFS!

But now I have a decision to make, I need to replace my other sofa but do I A. Get another grey Lull sofa? Or B. Be bold and indulge in a pink velvet sofa… like this DFS Zinc Cuddler Sofa from their French Connection Collection? Dreamy right?!?

What would you go for?

Disclaimer: This sofa and ottoman were very kindly gifted to me by DFS but as always my words and opinions are my own. I will only ever work with brands that I love and hope that you will love too!

Love the sofa! A little too small for our living room, but I guess there are similar ones which are a little bigger.

I think you need to get the pink velvet sofa! It is dreamy but either sofa would be an excellent choice

Hello! Lovely post. I was wondering if you’ve experienced any problems with this sofa?

I would opt for the contrasting colour to really compliment the grey – another grey sofa would be too ‘matchy-matchy’ and you could make a real statement by pairing with a sofa or chair that is another colour
