Sainsbury’s Living Challenge

Sainsbury's Living Challenge

I was absolutely delighted when Sainsbury’s got in touch and asked me to take part in their Sainsbury’s Living Challenge. The breakdown – Sainsbury’s challenged me to live with Sainsbury’s ‘Everyday Luxury’ products, testing their quality and value for money.

So here goes.

First of all I have to admit that I was a little unsure about putting completely white bedding on the bed (fitted sheet too), I usually have some sort of pattern or pastel colours so this was a big change but actually I loved it once it was on, it looked really classy, smart and clean and totally changed my opinion on white bedding, the white really compliments the grey headboard and made me feel like I was staying in a hotel a little bit! (That’s weird isn’t it?) But more importantly, hands down the softest sheets I own – you know that feeling when you’ve had a bath and you get into clean bed sheets – it was like that every night. Bliss. At £45 for the whole set, you can’t really go wrong – such good value for money. Sainsbury’s were also kind enough to gift me goose feather and down pillows and a goose filled duvet filler, well let me tell you, these pillows – game changer. I’ve always loved a feather filled pillow but the ones I’ve had in the past sort of collapse where you put your head but these stay full without being too firm. The white quilted throw added the perfect finishing touch to the bed and is a classic so it will go with so many different styles of interiors.

A bit of technical information about the bedlinen from the fabulous Sainsbury’s team – ‘it’s made of the finest quality Egyptian cotton providing quality and durable bedlinen that becomes softer and more comfortable after every wash. With 400 threads in every inch, experience a sumptuous silky soft feel with a luxuriously woven appearance.’ Well that explains the silkyness!!

Next up – towels. The fluffiest towels ever might I add. Egyptian Hygro Cotton towels to be precise. What is hygro you ask? ‘Hygro is a smart low twist technology that ensures our towels are thicker and softer than normal without feeling heavy and bulky. Another benefit of using the smart fibres is that they keep towels fluffy wash after wash.’ Seriously though is there anything better than new towels? NOPE! These are the dream – also may have made me feel a bit posh too having a bath sheet too – I’ve never had a bath sheet before can you believe it? Never will I go back to a bath towel. Sheets are revolutionary. Whole body covered. But a full set of towels including a bath sheet, bath towel, hand towel and a face cloth for £40 in total is a great price – just as Sainsbury’s say on the tin. Everyday Luxury.

Lastly a few lovely items from Sainsbury’s White Marrakech collection. I seriously can’t wait to get my ensuite finished so I can put these on the vanity top, they are going to fit in perfectly. Perfect for small storage in the bathroom, or anywhere in the house really and this candle – YUM.

Since testing these products out I have washed the bedlinen and the towels and no complaints here! Just as soft and fluffy as the first time round so so far so good. It’s a thumbs up from me, great quality but affordable luxury!

It’s wonderful when an every day high street store comes up trumps. Do you manage to keep your pets off the bed? It always looks so immaculate. Maddie tends to steer clear but it’s Boo’s favourite place to sleep X

Isn’t it just! Totally takes you by surprise! I do yes but only because they’re not allowed upstairs – the sofa in the living room is a very different story haha! I do love a cuddle with them on the sofa though xxx

Loved everything you picked out! I love Sainbury’s homeware, such lovely things in there. That bed linen is so nice and I know it’s super weird but I really just want to rub my face in those towels, they look so soft!!!! xx
