Sheepskin Pet Bed

If you follow me in Instagram then you probably already know that my dogs are my babies. Yes I’m one of those people that lets their dogs on the sofa, so if you come to visit, be prepared for them to be all up in your personal space. If you don’t like it… you know where the door is. I’m that sort of person. You better believe that my piggies come first.

Despite having my sofas for years, and despite how¬†fantastically hard wearing they have been, they do inevitably get scratched by naughty piggy paws! I really struggle finding dog beds in the UK that I like and that match my decor, but in all honestly even if I found the perfect one to go in the living room, it would be pointless buying it because I’ve been such a softy that the dogs will point blank refuse to sit on the floor. “Sofa or nothing human.” Which I don’t mind but I’ve been on the hunt for something to firstly protect the sofa from their scratchy nails and also to act as a bed so that I don’t end up with doggy hairs all over the sofa. The answer was found at Lambland. Lambland sell a huge range of sheepskin rugs (check them out if you’re a sheepskin obsessive like me), slippers and home accessories but they have a different offering when it comes to their pet rugs. The most important thing when buying anything that the dogs might touch or be near, be it cushions, dog beds, throws, is that they need to be machine washable, if it’s not machine washable it’s just going to get filthy ultimately and I’ll end up having to throw it out when it gets too filthy, which is such a shame, and a waste really. BUT… bet you didn’t know you could machine wash sheepskin did you?!? Nor did I before Lambland. The Untrimmed Shearling Sheepskin Rugs¬†are machine washable (and come with washing instructions) and are your average single sheepskin size, so plenty of room for my two piggies to snuggle up on together, it covers (and protects) the majority of my double sofa for them, and the best part is that since it’s a natural product, it takes a long time for it to start too look dirty. I’ve had my sheepskin pet rug for over a month now and the dogs have used it daily and it still doesn’t need washing yet which is fantastic! I am yet to machine wash the rug but I will update you all when I do because so far I think this is a fantastic product!!!
