Cushions to me are just like dresses, a girl can never have too many of them, especially throw cushions on the bed. Maybe the daily ritual moan from my other half every evening before getting into bed makes having ‘too’ many cushions even more enjoyable, I can hear him now, “We’ve got too many cushions Liv, this is getting ridiculous!’ To which I just smirk, naturally. But alas, I have in fact stripped back the number of cushions – not because I think it’s getting ridiculous, but I just fancied a change.
And it was a big change for me, I added pattern (even if only a tiny bit) to the bedroom – but seriously, I don’t remember the last time I saw pattern in here? But I love these geometric Gillis cushions. My favourite (and go-to) set up of throw cushions on the bed is to have two larger cushions at the back and then two smaller cushions in front, and if they contrast in colour, even better (and then if you want a bit more going on just throw a feature cushion in at the front for effect). Bold, navy cushions teamed with the perfect shade of grey Anna cushions which match my bed headboard perfectly, and there we have it, a quick, simple, Scandi cushion refresh.
And just so we are clear, four is a very small amount of cushions on the bed for me! Are you a little on the OTT side when it comes to throw cushions on your bed too? What’s the maximum number you’d have – I think one day I’ll be able to enter for the Guinness World Records for ‘Most Throw Cushions Displayed On One Bed”- and it would not surprise me if that is already a category!

Oh my goodness, there is so much to love about this room! I love the chunky throw and the lamps 🙂 The navy cushions really compliment the colour scheme. Beautiful styling! x
Oh my goodness your bedroom is BEAUTIFUL! I love everything about it!
I’m like you, I think, off the top of my head, I have 6 actual pillows on our bed, and 6 cushions. Which drives my husband mad, he often refuses to put them on the bed, because he will just have to take them off again, but, I LOVE CUSHIONS!

So lovely the cushions really stand out, I agree you can never have too many dresses!
STUNNING room – I love everything about it. Especially the giant knitted throw & copper and brass accessories. Beautiful! You have such a keen eye!
Wow! Love everything about this room, Olivia. Not just the cushions! The lamp, the bulky knitted throw, the picture shelf…Everything. Great taste and great photos too!
I love them! So simple and effective, but so chic!
