Dyson Ball Animal 2 Vacuum Hoover Review

A little while ago, ao.com got in touch and kindly offered to update our everyday appliances, including the integrated ones, so for the last couple of months, we’ve been living with these new appliances, using them every day, testing them out and today I’m sharing my thoughts on them.

The most exciting update for me was definitely our hoover – vacuum if you want to be technical 😉 … but we’ve always called them hoovers in our family, anyone else?! I grew up with my parents always having using a Dyson and when I became a home owner, I was given a luckily hand me down Dyson, it’s always lived up to it’s name so I was excited to try the modern version – the Dyson Ball Animal 2 Vacuum Cleaner. There’s a photo of the two side by side below, but my first reaction was how much smaller it was and as a result, how much lighter it is – which makes carrying it up a flight of stairs a lot easier. This version makes it easier to hoover hard to reach areas like sofas and under the kitchen cabinetry, it’s very easy to move around and change direction thanks to the clever ball technology. YES it’s great for pet hair – I should know, I have two dogs! It’s also great not only for carpets but also for hard floors of which we have in every room downstairs. I would recommend the Dyson Ball Animal 2 Vacuum Cleaner to anyone. I have however heard absolute rave reviews about Shark hoovers too though… so maybe next time I’ll give Shark a go!

Miele Discovery H2267BP Built In Electric Single Oven Review

The next item we updated was our oven, I’ve only ever heard amazing things about Miele, so we decided to try the Miele Discovery H2267BP Built In Electric Single Oven. The biggest pro of this oven is easily the fact that the shelf is on runners – I’ve always been worried about burning myself when getting things out of the oven, because they’re so awkward and it’s really easy to do. The runners mean that you can pull the shelf right out (safely) and easily use two hands to lift your tray or whatever it is you’re taking out, out. Another feature that I find really helpful is that you can set the oven to turn off when your food is ready! Miele’s pyrolytic function means that it’s a self-cleaning oven (to a certain extent of course)!

Samsung DW60M6040BB Fully Integrated Standard Dishwasher Review

Lastly, we updated our integrated dishwasher with the Samsung DW60M6040BB Fully Integrated Standard Dishwasher. Okay, I was seriously glad for this… our old dishwasher was not expensive and a few years in, it really showed why. For majority of the cycles we put through, we had to rewash most of the items in the sink – which obviously completely defeats the point in having a dishwasher in the first place – and of course it’s just wasted water! Our new dishwasher has an eco programme to help save water as well as money! You can adjust the height of the shelf depending on what you need to fit in – which is really handy! And, if you only have a few plates that need cleaning, the dishwasher has a half load option which allows you to just wash one basket, which in turn also saves time and energy!

We’re yet to have any issues with these appliances (touchwood we don’t), but so far so good! Thanks so much ao.com for helping make our everyday jobs a little (okay, a lot) easier!
