Bridgman Faux Flower Bouquets

Well would you? I wouldn’t, I mean, look at them. They’re real, they must be? Or are they? Okay, okay, I’ll tell you! They are in fact faux! The best faux flowers I’ve ever come across to date, and I’m not just saying that, and I’ve had my fair share!

Some people are totally anti faux flowers/foliage, me? I’m the total opposite, I lap them up. Being the serial plant killer that I am (un-intentionally so I promise), and lacking any hint of ‘green fingers’, seriously, I recently wrote a blog post on ‘Serial Plant Killer Survivors‘ – essentially a guide to the few plants that I have managed to miraculously keep alive – so it will come as no surprise that I’m gushing about a faux bouquet today. I’ve been displaying faux flowers in my home for a couple of years now, last Spring I wrote a piece on my Favourite Faux Flowers and Foliage, but less than a year later, here I am, topping that list with a new crowned faux winner. I thought the faux flowers I already owned were impressively realistic but this White Serenity Bouquet by Bridgman is something else. A bouquet made up of white roses, hydrangeas, foliage and blueberries, with a classic yet simple colour palette that would suit any interior style, but of course if you prefer a more colourful display, there are other gorgeous options amongst their faux flower bouquet range. Unlike a lot of faux flowers, they have not only concentrated on the authenticity of the flower head, but the little details like the leaves and the berries which just bring the whole bouquet to life, and it’s normally plastic looking leaves that let artificial flowers down.

Why go faux? I know, you’re right, and I whole heartedly agree that there’s nothing quite like a fresh bunch of roses and watching them bloom over the next week. But unless you get lucky, they don’t often last much longer than a week and then off to the shop you pop to get a new bunch. My other issue is that whenever I buy myself flowers, I wouldn’t even think of buying more than one bunch, it’s already a treat (look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves and all that), I couldn’t possibly get two or more, but then I get home and I have a vase in my living room, one in the kitchen, one in my office and one in my bedroom. So which will the lucky room be? I don’t want to pick, I want a bunch in each room without having to buy four different bunches every week – if I bought 4 small bunches of Tesco’s £5 Roses (which are bloody good value in fairness) every week, I’d spend a total of £1,040. Madness right? Do I rest my case?

Faux guys, I’m telling you, it’s the way to go – plus they’re totally on trend at the moment. Of course there are tonnes of other pros, no smelly flower water, no dropping petals, no pollen dropping and staining your tops, no allergy problems, no potential poison for pets… have I convinced you yet? Oh and you won’t even miss out on that fresh flowers scent, the bouquets arrive wrapped in deliciously scented tissue paper – it’s the little touches isn’t it? One last sweet touch, this adorable little bee pin.

Are you a faux fan?
