A couple of weeks ago I spent the weekend in London and had the pleasure of staying in the most beautifully designed hotel with a very Scandi feel. Leman Locke.
I apologise in advance for the excessive amount of photos but it was right up my street, pastels, gold accents and a just the right amount of Nordic minimalism.
Leman Locke is actually an aparthotel, design led with reception and bar service like a hotel, and spacious rooms with kitchen facilities like an apartment, making it the perfect stay wether you just need someone to stay overnight, somewhere to work (theres wi-fi obviously), somewhere to relax and watch some TV, somewhere you can cook rather than going out for dinner, or all of the above. Just a short walk from Aldgate East underground station (because no one wants to lug suitcases for miles do they), or if you drive like we did, then there’s parking over the road. There is quite literally everything you could possibly need, comfy bed, TV’s, tea and coffee, fridge, bathroom (and more importantly a bath – I hate it when hotels don’t have baths), wi-fi, iron, hanging space and a yoga mat which was a different but lovely touch. Oh and the really important part – the bar is brilliant, cocktail galore and if you don’t see anything you fancy on the menu then the bar staff will knock something together just to your taste! But of course the real reason I had to visit? Of course I was desperate to sit on the blush sofa of my dreams – and maybe search it for a label to see where I can get it, but sadly no luck there. Whoever designed this place did one hell of a brilliant job, I will definitely be back!
Next time I visit Edinburgh I will definitely be heading to their newest aparthotel – Eden Locke which opens in July and looks just as well designed.
