A year ago I had no speakers in the house (unless you include the TV speakers), and since I got some in the kitchen it’s become apparent how important it is to me to have music in every room, but finding them to suit the room is a little more challenging.

Although you know I’m a hardcore Scandi lover through and through, I’ve got a secret love for a touch of retro – I think the two mix together perfectly if you get it right and the Ruark R2 music system was no exception. Available in black and walnut too (but I think it’s a given that I’d go for white duh), this baby may look vintage but it’s got the highest tech capabilities. DAB, bluetooth, wireless, spotify connect ready, multi-room capability, stereo headphone output – which means I may be connecting it to my TV shortly – since the sound is so good, it’s basically surround sound with the perks of radio right? But for now I’ll enjoy dancing round my bedroom like a loon (but listening to great music so its okay yes?) P.S. Yes I have Drake on repeat… don’t judge me.

Also on a side note – can you believe how realistic these faux peonies are from Hannah Halfpennie?!

What’s your favourite speaker/sound system and if you had to pick one room in the house to have music where would it be?! Mine would be the kitchen for sure!
