White. Scandinavian. Dreamy. Relaxing. Bright. Spacious. Minimal. All the things I look for in a bedroom and all elements I have tried to bring to my latest bedroom revamp.
This is the second bedroom blog that I’ve posted since I started my blog last October… which means I have re-decorated my bedroom twice in the space of a year – let’s hope for my bank account’s sake that this time next year I haven’t played changing rooms again!
You can see what my bedroom looked like before here. Originally the fitted wardrobes were pine, the carpet was cream and the walls were magnolia, yep, magnolia my least favourite colour in the world. Just by adding a splash of white paint to a room, it immediately seems so much more spacious and brighter. I’m not the biggest fan of colour – in my own home that is, I totally appreciate it in the right space, but my style is quite neutral and minimal. Generally the most colourful items in my home are metallic items, mostly brass and copper hues so you can imagine my surprise when I finally gave in and got myself some blush bedding and fell in love with it. It compliments the grey bed perfectly, and even better, since it’s linen it looks even better when it’s not ironed – and I hate ironing!
Everything has been added slowly, bit by bit, month by month. These things don’t happen in a weekend but I’m finally in a position where I’m satisfied with the final look of the master bedroom and I’m no longer itching to move things about every other day. I give it a month until I change something though…
Everything you see is linked below (hopefully), if there’s something I haven’t linked please just leave a comment below and I’ll get back to you and let you know.
